At PLP Fire Protection, we’re proud to support the development of future fire safety professionals through structured apprenticeship programmes. We believe apprenticeships are essential for nurturing new talent, developing technical skills, and ensuring the long-term strength of the fire protection industry. 

 Supporting the Next Generation

We’re pleased to highlight our apprentice engineer Charlie Rouse, who recently joined us in September as our newest apprentice.

After impressing the team during a previous work experience placement, Charlie has returned to PLP as part of the Skills for Security apprenticeship scheme. He will attend a Skills for Security College while gaining practical, hands-on experience alongside our experienced engineers.

His enthusiasm for learning and his commitment to building a career in the fire industry make him a fantastic addition to the team.

Proven Success

Apprenticeships have always been a key part of our company’s growth. Many of our current engineers began their journeys as apprentices, including Mikey and Morgan, who joined PLP five years ago and have since developed into highly skilled engineers.

With guidance from Debbie Davies and Poppy Drury at North West Kent College, and training support from Zzeus Training and the British Fire Consortium, both achieved their EAL Certification and now play vital roles within the business.

Their achievements highlight the real impact of investing in young people creating opportunities, building confidence, and shaping successful long term careers.
