    Fire Alarm System Maintenance

    PLP Fire Protection hold the full modular BAFE SP203-1 Third Party Certification and are members of the Fire Industry Association (FIA), therefore you can be safe in the knowledge that the company you are appointing are appropriately qualified and third party accredited, this will also satisfy your insurance provider and fulfil your responsibilities as the responsible person under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

    This Order reforms the law relating to fire safety in non-domestic premises. It replaces fire certification under the Fire Precautions Act 1971 it also incorporates the common areas within block of flats.

    Fire Alarm Maintenance by PLP

    Regular fire alarm maintenance is paramount to reliability and performance, your fire alarm system should be maintained in accordance with BS5839. The minimum requirement is that a fire alarm system is serviced on a six monthly basis. However, the frequency of maintenance visits can be increased to suit the size of the fire alarm system, building, environment or fire risk assessment requirements.

    Fire Alarm Weekly Testing

    We also provide weekly testing of your fire alarm system to take the pressure off the responsible person, weekly testing of your buildings fire alarm system is a legal requirement under the fire safety order for every owner/manager/landlord/occupier.
