The Britvic Factory were looking for a seamless transition from the previous provider with minimal disruption to the factory.
As part of the takeover process we carried out a survey to the entire site to visually look at the fire alarm systems and portable extinguishers installed and the environment they are operating in to ensure optimal performance. We identified all fire alarm system equipment installed including types and quantities of extinguishers, produced a full asset register to assist with the ongoing asset management.
We identify possible areas where false alarms may occur, advise on solutions on how to reduce/eliminate nuisance alarms and demonstrate to the customer how to carry out a weekly test. Where applicable our engineers carried out onsite repairs and a detailed report and quotation listing any defects and deficiencies found together with recommendations.
Upon completion a certificate of testing in accordance with BS5839-1 and BS5306-3 was issued.
PLP now provides Britvic with a 24 hour telephone support and a call out number to fire alarm panel which means many problems can be diagnosed and fixed over the phone but an engineer is on hand to visit the site on call 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
