PLP Fire Protection, the trusted incumbent for fire safety at the prestigious ExCeL Centre in London, has successfully completed a key project as part of ExCeL’s latest entertainment expansion, Immerse London. Nestled along the venue’s bustling waterfront, Immerse London is the newest addition to ExCeL’s entertainment district, attracting visitors with top-tier experiences such as the Formula One Experience and the popular Friends sitcom event, Friends – The One in London, which debuted in the summer of 2024.
As the fire system provider for ExCeL London, PLP Fire Protection was tasked with extending the existing fire detection system into these newly developed entertainment areas. Working in close collaboration with McLaren Construction Group and Halsall Mechanical & Electrical, PLP seamlessly integrated the fire safety systems to ensure the utmost protection for visitors and staff alike.
PLP’s team successfully completed the fire system upgrades, meeting all safety standards and achieving sign-off on the project ahead of the highly anticipated opening of Friends – The One in London. This accomplishment highlights PLP Fire Protection’s ongoing commitment to excellence and safety within one of London’s most dynamic venues.
