Charity Football Match and Fun Day is a Hit

What an amazing day at the Inaugral PLP Charity Football Match and Fun Day in aid of Ellenor Hospice.

This was our first event of this kind and we are so happy with how it went.

We had stalls such as hook the duck, tin can alley, guess the sweets in the jar, tombola, raffle, splat the rat, guess the number of balloons in the PLP car and so much more…..

Then we had our inaugural Charity Football match against KGM Distributors. Well it didn’t start off to well as PLP went 1-0 down in the first 15 minutes, we fought back to draw and then went 2-1 up, then 3-1 up. KGM fought back to 3-2 then in the final minutes drew!

It was inevitable that penalties were the only way to settle this, on a closely fought game PLP won on penalties and lifted the cup!

Both teams did so well, these are not professional footballers, many of them have not played football In years but they all stepped up and played with passion and dignity.

It was a great family day, that really had a community spirit. The amount raised was a fantastic £4,100 all going to the Ellenor Hospice.

We have a lot of people/companies to thank, without their help and support this would not have been possible.
