BAFE is the independent registration body for third party certified fire protection companies across the UK. A national independent register of quality fire safety service providers.
BAFE develops schemes to support quality standards for fire protection companies to achieve and become third party certified.
This independently acknowledges their competency to provide specific fire protection services.

Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB)
PLP Fire Protection are UKAS, SSAIB third party accredited in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire alarm & fire safety systems
The SSAIB is the leading certification body for organisations providing security systems and services, fire detection and alarm systems, telecare systems and services, manned security services and monitoring services.
It promotes high standards of service and is focused on serving the certification needs of organisations providing security and safety related services.
SSAIB’s schemes comply with all Police policies (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic) and insurers – often as a condition of their underwriting – place particular demands on security and fire safety system providers.
International Fire Certification (IFC)
PLP Fire Protection are IFC SDI 19 third party accredited in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of smoke control systems (AOV)
IFC is a UKAS accredited and internationally recognised provider of high quality customer focused independent third party certification.
IFC is also a Notified Certification Body for certificating products for CE Marking under the Construction Products Directive.
The company is a member of the long established IFC Group of companies including International Fire Consultants Ltd, who have established an enviable independent position offering clients across the world impartial advice on Fire Safety.
Association of residential managing agents (ARMA)

Fire Industry Association (FIA)
PLP Fire Protection are full members of the FIA, a condition of full membership is to have achieved BAFE third party certification in fire safety systems.
The FIA is the largest fire protection trade association in the UK with 850+ members.
Their objective is to promote, improve and perfect fire protection methods, devices, services and apparatus.
They achieve this through the representation of its members, providing technical support, guidance and opportunities for professional advancement through education and appropriate regulation.
